Abstract Ice Chests by Kathy K. McClellan is an image created from a photograph.
Three ice chests, also called coolers, were photographed and then the photograph was manipulated to produce an abstract image that resembles a mandala or kaleidoscope.
The text on the coolers in the original photograph is distorted in this final image. It shows as "Cool" in the bright blue areas.
Two of the coolers were the same color blue with the third cooler being bright neon green. All three coolers included white lids and handles.
The original photograph showing those coolers can be found in the Challenges and Still Life Collections and is titled Cool Triplets.
