Georgia is my late mother's name. I dug up daylilies from her flower bed in Ohio after she passed away. When I got home and started planting them I found a gladiolus bulb.
The first year after transplanting the bulb to my Mississippi home it produced one gorgeous stalk with the prettiest pink blooms. I had always associated yellow or orange with gladiolus even though I knew there were many colors.
How appropriate that this one was pink since that was Georgia's favorite color!
