April Fools Day Coin by Kathy K. McClellan is an image created for Day 91 of the Journal 2022 Challenge, which also happens to be April Fool's Day.
A gold coin that is not a gold coin.
A Mardi Gras doubloon left on an outdoor window sill appears that someone bit into the coin.
Were they testing to see how soft the gold was?
Were they disappointed when they realized it wasn't really made of gold?
Did they know it wasn't really gold but didn't like the chocolate candy inside?
A mystery left behind for others to ponder without ever being solved sounds like an April Fool's Day joke to me!
