Description
Art Deco Details In Georgia by Kathy K. McClellan is a photograph taken in Georgia (USA).
Art Deco is a design originating in the late 1920s to the 1940s. This photograph was taken of the exterior of a building, circa 1930s, that sports a few of the details popular during that period in architecture.
As was often the case with that style, the walls shown are stucco and the roof is flat. The decorations, painted green to stand out against the white stucco, however, give the impression of a clay tile roof. The other geometric details are applied directly to the stucco wall.
Geometric decoration and curved walls are a hallmark of the Art Deco style.
The design of the window mullions echos a geometric form that is also frequently seen in the Craftsman Bungalow style.

Wonderful lines, shapes, and textures in this architectural detail. Love the limited palette, too.
