Description
Colorless Brick Morning by Kathy K. McClellan is a photograph taken for Day Two of the Seven Day Black and White Challenge.
The brick walls in this image are angled around a storage unit on the back of an apartment building. The sun had risen over the trees and was shining directly on the wall facing the sun. The walls that were positioned perpendicular to the sun were not as bright as the one facing the sun. That produced a shadow like effect on two of the three flat, brick surfaces.
Creating the image in black and white accentuated the differences in the amount of light on each wall.

I must have missed this one when you first posted it. A wonderful image. Love the way the angles take you right through the entire image, starting with the tack-sharp brick. Great job!

The perspective and the light / shadow are great. If I look one way, this appears to be three walls of the same building. If I concentrate more on the middle / lit wall, it appears there are two buildings, slightly offset, and the sun is shining down between the buildings lighting the building on the left.
