Description
These images show some of the oil containment booms that were placed in the Gulf Of Mexico and Jourdan River in Bay Saint Louis, MS after the BP Macondo oil well blowout in April 2010.
The booms were part of what was referred to as a dog and pony show because even though millions of dollars were spent placing these booms to prevent any oil for entering bays and rivers off the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the barriers were useless in all but the calmest waters.
