Description
This image is a black and white version of the Crew House Museum.
The Crew House Museum was built in 1826 as a private residence and is located in the Village of Richmond, Ohio in Jefferson County. In the 1970s a devoted group of townspeople came together and formed the Richmond Community Historical Society to save the house from demolition.
The Crew House was in the Crew family continuously from the time it was built until the 1970s. It was part of the Underground Railroad and it's most famous owner was William Henry Crew, grandson of Henry Crew the original owner. Henry graduated from Princeton and John Hopkins and was a renowned physicist.
More information on the Crew House Museum, The Crew Family and the history of Richmond, Ohio can be found on the museum's web site.

See it weekly. Love the black and white. l

Thanks Karen! Richmond's Main Street is such a mix of buildings. Night and day difference between Crew House and Haunted By Neglect!
