Fiery Star by Kathy K. McClellan is an image created for Day One of the Challenge 18 (Theme: Fire).
A New Year's Eve fire, built in a stone fire pit was photographed and can now be manipulated in software to produce hundreds of different images.
The flames in this image take on a fluid movement that results in a fiery object that resembles a star.
Although the photograph was distorted to produce an abstract image, the burning log remains visible in the center of the new image and somewhat in each lower leg.
