Description
Life certainly is a matter of perspective and if you visit the French Quarters in New Orleans, LA and don't look up occasionally you will not get the full Quarters experience.
This poster is made up of images you can see if you look up when you visit The French Quarters in New Orleans, Louisiana. The most famous street in the French Quarter is Bourbon Street and is made up of numerous bars and shops which are constantly visited by tourists and locals alike.
The French Quarter is the oldest neighborhood in the city of New Orleans and is also known as Vieux Carre. The city itself was founded in 1718 by Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville. The entire district (0.66 square miles) has been designated a National Historic Landmark.
Although there are various styles of architecture the main influence will be Spanish. Wrought iron balconies and fences are plentiful. The Quarters is home to the Pontalba Apartments (the oldest apartment buildings in the U.S.).
A visit to New Orleans would not be complete without a tour of The French Quarter and a tour would not be complete without looking up!
