Ghosts In The Golf Graveyard by Kathy K. McClellan is an image created for Day 95 of the Journal 2022 Challenge. This is the second post of individual images from The "Miniature Golf Graveyard".
Formerly placed in Walden's Landing, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (USA), this firehouse themed miniature golf attraction had two 18 hole courses.
The property in Pigeon Forge sported a water park from the 1970s until it was taken down in 2003. It was replaced with a shopping and entertainment center called Walden's Landing.
In 2007 the Firehouse Golf miniature golf courses were added to Walden's Landing. The firehouse themed courses were full of firefighting critters participating in bucket brigades and kitty rescues and included six waterfalls.
In 2017 the courses were torn up and the area bulldozed flat. Walden's Landing was changed to Lumberjack Feud and Adventure Park and new attractions were built.
I found these critters and others from Walden's Landing cast aside in Alabama. Many of the pieces are broken and weeds are growing over them.
