Description
Grandmother's China is a photographic image created by Kathy K. McClellan for Day Two of the Three Day Anything Goes Challenge.
These china pieces belonged to someone's grandmother. They did not belong to my own grandmother.
The pattern on this set was created and produced in 1933. At that time my grandparents were concentrating on providing food, shelter and clothing for their family. Purchasing china was probably the furthest thing from their mind.
As I look at this tea cup and saucer, set out with the matching creamer and sugar bowl, this pattern does, however, remind of the vintage set of china that my own grandmother inherited from her second husband years after my grandfather passed away.
Widow marrying widower in their golden years. Golden years shared combining treasures from each of their past lives.
Grandmother's China. Another trip down memory lane!
