Hilton Head Bicycle Station by Kathy K. McClellan is a collage created for Week 45 of the 52 week Art Challenge (Theme: The World Outside).
On a visit to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina (USA) we spotted this Bicycle Station in a beach access parking lot. Across from the vehicle parking and next to the public restrooms is a bicycle tire pump and a repair station.
The tire pump includes a pressure gauge and the repair station not only has several different tools that one might need to repair a bicycle but it also provides a QR code that you can scan with your phone. The scan will take you to a guide with several videos showing bicycle repairs.
With 50 miles of hard-packed beaches and paved public pathways an air and repair station for bicycles is most likely greatly appreciated by the island's cyclists.
