His Baby Book by Kathy K. McClellan is a photographic image created for Day Two of Challenge 26 (Theme: Books).
A congratulatory greeting card, a gift certificate for milk for the new baby and an aged photograph were all stored in his baby book.
A lock of hair, possibly from his first hair cut, is lovingly pinned to the page for safe keeping.
Dirty fingerprints, mildew and degradation of the photograph tell the story of moisture and age along with the memories.
The book being leafed through thousands of times shows that much interest was shown in this little boy's start in life.
The fact that the book and keepsakes have survived as long as the boy himself, now a grown man, shows that those memories were cherished over the years.
Precious memories telling the story of our lives.
