Description
Holly Road Over Cypress Creek by Kathy K. McClellan is a photographic image created for Day 301 of the 365 Challenge (Journal 2022).
Holly Road, passing over Cypress Creek, is located in the state of Tennessee (USA) and connects Big Cypress Road (Route 1763) and the Natchez Trace Parkway.
It is a gravel, one-lane road and there is a warning sign as you turn off the Parkway that the bridge is one-lane.
Cement railings on either side of the bridge keep vehicles from falling into the creek if the driver strays too far to the side and metal guardrails protect one from falling off the sides' ends of the bridge onto concrete and rock erosion control at the foot of the bridge.
The road is shaded by a canopy of hardwood trees along most of it's short distance. A slight curve and then an incline can be seen on the far end of the road where it meets Route 1763 (Big Cypress Road).
