Kitten Rescue Critters by Kathy K. McClellan is an image created for Day 98 of the Journal 2022 Challenge. This is the fifth post of individual images from The "Miniature Golf Graveyard". This is a square image.
These critters were rescuing kittens in their former location. I found them and their ladders among other critters from Walden's Landing cast aside in Alabama. Many of the pieces are broken and weeds are growing over them. Notice the weeds growing up the side of the building.
Formerly placed in Walden's Landing, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (USA), this firehouse themed miniature golf attraction had two 18 hole courses.
The property in Pigeon Forge sported a water park from the 1970s until it was taken down in 2003. It was replaced with a shopping and entertainment center called Walden's Landing.
In 2007 the Firehouse Golf miniature golf courses were added to Walden's Landing. The firehouse themed courses were full of firefighting critters participating in bucket brigades and kitty rescues and included six waterfalls.
In 2017 the courses were torn up and the area bulldozed flat. Walden's Landing was changed to Lumberjack Feud and Adventure Park and new attractions were built.
