Description
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
I love this image
And hope you do, too!
This photograph was taken in Ohio in the spring of the year. Wild violets were scattered all over that country property. They are very common in that area of the country.
When I was a child, violets were my favorite flower. I picked millions of them. My mother told me I was allergic to them and I avoided them for years.
I laughed right out loud when my sister said she thinks that maybe my mother got tired of my never ending bunches of violets wanting vases of water.
The violet is the state flower of Illinois, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.
