Description
Richmond Presbyterian Church Collage by Kathy K. McClellan is a photographic image created for Day 252 of the 365 Challenge (Journal 2022).
This collage contains photographs of the United Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Ohio (USA).
One photograph was taken of the front and one side of the entire church. Two other photographs were taken of the cornerstone. Both sides of the cornerstone are shown, one side in each photograph.
The church was established in 1805 and a frame sanctuary served the congregation until it burned to the ground in the early 1950s. The present brick building shown in these photographs was built in 1951, as stated on one side of the cornerstone.
Architectural features include a short steeple, built up brickwork on the corners of the building, capstones over the windows and a simple rose window with a circular brick surround accented with capstones.
The church also features a classroom wing and a basement.
