Richmond Tower On The Threshold by Kathy K. McClellan is a photographic image created for Day 255 of the 365 Challenge (Journal 2022).
A color photograph of the water tower in Richmond, Ohio (USA) was manipulated in software to produce this stark image. The tower is on the threshold of blending into the white background.
Not only was all color taken from the photograph but so were certain elements. For example, there were many clouds against a very blue sky but neither of those elements are in the new image.
The trees, on the other hand, were left in the image to give a bit of scale to the height of the tower even though they lost the green of their leaves.
