Root Flow by Kathy K. McClellan is an image created for Day 145 of the 365 Challenge (Journal 2022). This is a vertical image.
When I look at this tree in Spring Park, Tuscumbia, Alabama (USA), the roots appear to be flowing out from the tree trunk. A graceful, fluid movement from the trunk to the ground gives the roots the look of lava flowing out from a volcano.
This tree is one of many in the park that are distorted, have two or more trunks or appear to have animal shapes in their trunks and roots.
This was the first time that I had seen so many trees in one place that exhibit these particularities.

It really does flow from root up trunk, gives a feeling of exposed but still strong.
