Description
The Sago Palm is not technically a palm. It is a Cycas Revoluta and is a species of gymnosperm in the family Cycadaceae.
This image is a close up of a female Sago Palm's bloom. If a male plant pollinates the female plant, an orange seed would appear where the droplets are now.
I don't know if the droplets are water or sap but to me they were tears. There were no male Sagos to pollinate Sarah The Sago's bloom. She will not produce viable seed this year. It took her 15 years to bloom and she will not bloom again for 2-3 years.
To all the women in the world whose dream of motherhood or being a grandmother never realized, Sarah's Tears is dedicated to each and every one of you!
