It was Saturday morning and the sun was shining but the temperature had not risen above freezing and the wind chill was brutal. The cold seeped through the concrete floor and slowly penetrated even the carpet.
No appointments or chores for that Saturday meant that the day could be spent inside with the heater keeping the air in the apartment toasty.
The gray slippers with the white bows were the perfect Saturday shoes. The fleece lining would surround her feet with soft warmth and the rubber on the bottom of the foam filled slipper would protect her feet from the cold floor.
Soft, warm comfort underfoot. Perfect for a freezing cold Saturday at home.
