Description
Seasons Greetings Mailbox is a holiday card designed with an image of a Christmas ornament.
My father came to visit one summer and accidentally backed over our mailbox as he was leaving. My mother was fussing at him to turn around and come back to our house but he didn't believe he had run over anything.
She finally convinced him to turn around and come back, proving that he had smashed the mailbox flat with his huge sport utility vehicle.
Later that year as we were Christmas shopping we spotted a craftsman making these mailbox ornaments. We purchased one of these ornaments and had my parents name painted on the side.
As small and inexpensive as the ornament was, I think it was my father's favorite gift that year. That small ornament made us all laugh every year as we relived that smashed mailbox episode.
