This morning, as I waited for the snow that is forecast for the afternoon in Northwestern Alabama, I came upon this photograph of a dusting of snow that fell only a few weeks ago.
Lightly covering the ground, the small wooden table and turquoise chair on the front porch, that dusting of snow reminded me that as much as I love relaxing on those chairs in the summer, we are still in the midst of winter.
