Description
The Old Drive-In Theater by Kathy K. McClellan is a photographic image created for Day 220 of the 365 Challenge (Journal 2022).
This old drive-in theater is located in Wintersville, Ohio (USA). The theater opened in 1969 and closed in 2001.
I took several photographs of the large screen and signs at the entrance and exit.
This image shows the largest screen in the state of Ohio (when it was built) and the entrance booth where tickets were sold.
My favorite part of this entire image was discovering the hawk perched on the corner of the screen. It was lunch time for this bird of prey and he had found a location where he could survey the grassy area in front of that screen where I'm sure mice and small birds would be found.
People used to sit in their vehicles to watch movies here. Mr. Hawk now sits on the screen to watch for his next meal.
