Description
Children often teach adults that life goes on after a disaster. This young boy was used to swimming in this shallow bay when his father fished further down the seawall.
After the Macondo oil well blew out in the Gulf of Mexico and containment booms were placed at the mouth of the river, this lad decided to test the waters as he was used to doing. The containment booms did not pose a deterrent for his regular swim in the bay.
This photograph was taken at the Cedar Point Boat Launch in Bay Saint Louis, MS.
