Description
Winter Warmth by Kathy K. McClellan is an image created for Day Seventeen of the Journal 2022 Challenge, a 365 day Personal Art Challenge.
I love fires. Working fireplaces. Wood stoves with glass windows. Campfires. I love the ambiance of a roaring fire and I appreciate the heat that it generates.
I chose this photograph to process today because I am so very grateful for heat. Many of my friends and family members are experiencing frigid temperatures, snow, ice, power outages or a combination of those issues.
We have had cold, gray, damp days for weeks, a little snow, a little ice but we never lost power, which for us means the ability to heat our apartment.
The winter season can be gorgeous visually but uncomfortable or down right painful with it's chilling wind and freezing temperatures.
I thank God today that during every winter I've lived through He has provided winter warmth from one source or another to keep me warm, including this present season.
