Description
The full moon in this photograph occurred in March of 2005. All of the piers, houses and trees that are in this picture were destroyed five months later on August 29, 2005 by Hurricane Katrina. The trees and man made objects may not exist anymore but the moon still rises and sets and it still reflects in The Bay of Saint Louis in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. Nature is alive and well and we continue to enjoy as much of it as possible. This image was a Mega Feature in Self Taught Artists Group on Fine Art America.

Lovely image, tragic story! Give me a good ground shaking every 12-15 years instead of weathering storms that destroy everything in its path every year. I'll keep all of you in my prayers this season Kathy~DUG
Kathy K McClellan replied:
Thanks, DUG. It's funny that we say give us the storms that we know are coming instead of earthquakes that come without warning.
