Description
Eastern Bluebirds live approximately 6-10 years and this baby is probably a month old. Females often have two broods in a season and this bird is from a spring brood. He seemed to be resting as I came and went to get my camera. But it didn't take long for him to let me know that what he really wanted was something to eat!

Such a prize moment and a fabulous capture Kathy. I have never seen a baby bluebird before. When I was little there were so many of them here in New England, but now it is rarer. FAV++/L (thank you for your vote in the portrait contest)

Thanks Nancy! I'm sorry that you aren't seeing this gorgeous bird often. They are beautiful, especially when a "couple" are tending to their young.

What an adorable capture! The classic pose of every baby bird - FEED ME! And you can just see the tiniest bit of blue peeking out on his wing feathers. I love this shot.

Probably needed some nourishment to get back to the nest. Did you wait until he took off? Again, good camera work Kathy!~DUG

Singing his heart out!

The funny thing is that there was no sound! I think he was hoping I'd drop something to eat in there!
