Description
Turquoise Date In Fifty Eight by Kathy K. McClellan is a photograph of the rear fender of a 1958 Chevy Impala. This classic automobile was parked in Bay Saint Louis, MS during the 2015 Cruisin' The Coast, an annual week long event showcasing antique and classic automobiles hosted along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Chevrolet introduced the Bel-Air Impala in 1958 as top of the line Bel Air hardtops and convertibles. It was the first generation of Impalas and was one of General Motors 50th Anniversary models.
Deeply sculptured rear fenders, double headlamps and a new type frame were all introduced for the Impala's debut model. Through 1965 the Impala had become the best-selling automobile in the United States.

I think the 1958 Impala was the most beautiful car to ever come out of a Chevrolet plant. Beautiful image!
