The home in this photograph was built on the Jourdan River many years ago. It and the majestic cypress tree at the water's edge has weathered many storms and floods. The reddish orange color of the cypress needles reveal a changing season from warm summer nights to cool autumn evenings.
The Jourdan River is a tidal river, both freshwater and brackish water, that flows into the Bay of Saint Louis in Bay Saint Louis, MS. From there the waters of the Bay flow into the Gulf Of Mexico.
