Black And White Vintage Lamp by Kathy K. McClellan is an image created for Day 354 of the 365 Challenge (Journal 2022).
This image was originally a full color photograph (which is also available on this site) titled Vintage Hotel Desk Lamp.
Processing the file in black and white brings out the shadows on the wall and the texture in the shutters.
This desk lamp and old oak desk is part of a boutique hotel that has transformed a formerly vacant building.
Small town boutique hotels are often full of history and charm, very different from the international chain hotels. This one's design elements gave homage to it's heritage as the center of a rural, agricultural locale.
This Boutique Hotel in Nashville, Georgia (USA) featured decor that was vintage country. Wood floors and window shutters, Ball Jar lighting and this vintage desk lamp accented the hotel's early twentieth century beginnings.
