Christmas Kaleidoscope by Kathy K. McClellan is a digital image that was created for Day One of the Thirty Day Red Challenge.
This image started as a photograph of a Christmas tree ornament. The ornament was a small silver drum hanging on a green fir tree with a red tree skirt in the background.
The photograph was manipulated several times in software with the last manipulation resulting in a kaleidoscope of Christmas colors and shapes.
Bell and star shapes, often seen during the holidays, can be seen throughout the image and hearts have formed around the circumference of the image.
The final image resembles a Christmas ornament even though it looks nothing like the ornament in the original photograph.
