Fruit Bowl Kaleidoscope Orb by Kathy K. McClellan is an image produced from a photograph for Day Ten of the Thirty Day Container Challenge.
This image started out as a photograph of fruit in a china bowl displayed on a hammered aluminum tray. It was manipulated several times in software to produce a kaleidoscope inside an orb suspended in a black background.
The colors of the bananas, strawberries and blueberries provided the red, white and blue that you see. A Hammered Aluminum tray under the china bowl adds a touch of silvery blue to the image. All of this color is then surrounded by black to add contrast.
Look closely. Do you see the eyes looking back at you? The bananas have turned into fun little skulls with eyes!
