Artist's Description
Hip Star is a photograph that was taken of a Cherokee Rose blossom as it was turning into a rose hip. Once the star shaped remnants of the blooms drop off, the hip will ripen into a bright red color.

Interesting plant and a more interesting description. Being a northerner I've never seen one before, not even while on an all expenses paid, southeast Asian tour, by our generous government. You'll let us know when they get ripe? Love the contrast that makes the fruit stand out. Congratulations on the features!~DUG
Kathy K McClellan replied:
Thanks DUG! This photograph was taken in the summer so I'm sure they've ripened and fallen off by now!
