Goods and resources having value in terms of exchange or use.
If you believe that money grows on trees then you must know that the Mayans and Aztecs of Central and South America used Cacao beans as money. The beans could buy food and clothes, pay taxes, and pay offerings to the gods.
Cacao, more commonly known as cocoa, is the basis of chocolate liquor, cocoa solids, cocoa butter and chocolate. It is the dried and fermented seed of the Theobroma cacao, a small evergreen tree. Theobroma translates from Greek as "food of the gods".
The next time you partake of that rich, dark chocolate concoction, like the multi-layer chocolate cake dripping with chocolate icing in this image, remember to let it melt in your mouth, savoring every second and feel wealthy knowing it took many cocoa beans to produce that delicious morsel.
