Description
Pollen Laden Lily Stamen by Kathy K. McClellan
Pollen laden Crinum stamens
On a sunny day.
It only takes a little wind
and pollen blows away.
Crinum (Amaryllidaceae plant family), also called the rain lily, is a flowering bulb. This bright pink lily was given to me by my mother-in-law and originally came from her garden in Georgia. The gift bulb multiplied many times over and I have taken at least one bulb to five different locations in Mid Atlantic and Southern areas of the United States when we have moved. This particular lily was photographed in Bay Saint Louis, MS.
