Lucky dog lived next door and was accustomed to my camera. She is literally a "lucky" dog who was left behind on an empty lot after a hurricane evacuation. After the storm she was fed and watered but had very little shelter and the only attention she received was from a few local fishermen. Then she started following my neighbor home from his daily walks along the seawall. He had peered into her dirt floor shelter one damp evening when she didn't follow him and heard her moaning. He "moaned" back to her a couple of times. That was all it took. The next time she followed him home after his evening walk she didn't leave---she WAS home!
