Golden Hour Through The Trees by Kathy K. McClellan is a photographic image processed for Day 180 of the 365 Challenge.
Living in the Cedar Point area of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi (USA) afforded me thousands of opportunities to capture gorgeous sunsets and their aftermaths. Most of the sunsets and aftermaths that I photographed were reflected in the waters of the Bay of Saint Louis.
However, occasionally I would photograph those glorious colors as a backdrop for tropical or forest foliage.
The sunset shown in this image is the background and a Live Oak and other deciduous trees are the foreground. Because the sun was still very bright the trees were captured as silhouettes.
Although we all know that there is only one sun for our planet, the separation between the oak's branches produced an image that appears to contain multiple suns shining through.
Sparse, high level clouds added a variegated effect to the sky.
