Impostor Decals by Kathy K. McClellan is a photographic image created for Week 26 of the 52 week Art Challenge (Theme: The World Outside).
Image my surprise when I was researching to find out what model this car was and discovered that it is not a Ferrari at all! I had never seen one of those Italian Sports Cars in real life before and was excitedly taking photographs of this one in a restaurant parking lot.
Apparently, it's not uncommon for owners of a Saturn Sky to change out all the emblems on their car to the Ferrari brand. There were several pictures of those amended Saturn Skys online. If you look closely when zoomed in the decal on the brakes (behind the wheel) is actually wrinkled and torn, a sure sign that this was not the expensive brand that I thought it was.
My excitement of seeing a real Ferrari turned to amusement at discovering that this automobile was really a Saturn Sky trying to impersonate a Ferrari.
