Morning Cloud Drama by Kathy K. McClellan is a photographic image created for Week 6 of the 52 week Art Challenge (Theme: The World Outside).
What we see in this image are thick, dark clouds gathering over and around the sun. The photograph was taken shortly after sunrise and facing east.
The contrast between the dark, ominous clouds and the brightness of the rays from the hidden sun that are shining in between the clouds, makes a dramatic morning scene.
The sun has risen above the treetops but not high enough to escape those thick clouds hovering around the horizon.
