Description
Bay St. Louis Rotary Clock by Kathy K. McClellan is an image created for Day One of the 7 Day TIME Challenge. This is a square image.
The Rotary Club International is a service organization that was started by a Chicago Attorney in 1905. Local chapters around the United States often raise money to donate a street clock to be erected in their city.
Bay St. Louis is a small, artsy seaside town on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. In 2019, the local Bay St. Louis Rotary Club purchased and dedicated a street clock to the city.
The clock was erected on the corner of Beach Boulevard and Main Street. It took the club six years to raise the $22,000 to purchase the clock.
The clock is now a landmark in the heart of Old Town, the historic district of the city.
