Description
Historic Depot Loading Platform by Kathy K. McClellan
This historic train depot in Bay Saint Louis, MS was built circa 1928 in the Mission Style of Architecture. It was originally built to serve the L & N Railroad Company (Louisville & Nashville), one of the greatest success stories of American business.
This image shows the outdoor waiting and loading platform with a shelter for shade and rain protection.
Passenger service was discontinued in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina. The depot now holds a Madri Gras Museum, The Alice Moseley Folk Art Museum and the Hancock County Tourism office.

So much going on in this image and I can't see all of it fast enough! A cup of coffee and a half an hour for this on! Love it!
Kathy K McClellan replied:
This view is only a small portion in the rear of the building facing the railroad tracks. This entire building has many different features.
